Password Troubles

Password Explanation

There are three different, independent username/passes one might have:

• Grid username and pass
• BOL account username and pass
• Cluster account username and pass

Grid Username and Pass

This is the account info needed to access the Grid Portal. To reset/change this password you need to navigate to the Grid Portal page and click the "Reset Password" link.

Cluster Username and Pass

For our lab, this would be your Miles username and password. This password must be initialized by clicking the confirmation link you received from accounts at ucla dot edu when you applied for your cluster account. Please refer to Getting a Miles Account for how this is done.

If you have forgotten (or never activated) your Miles password, it may be reset by clicking the "Request Cluster Password Change" on the Account Applications page.

BOL account username and pass

This is your UCLA email account info and is required to gain a Miles or Grid Portal account. Please refer to the UCLA BOL website or call their help number, (310) 267-HELP (4357) option 1, for support concerning these accounts.
