- Create an account USING YOUR EDU email account at https://www.dropbox.com/register.
- It is important to use your EDU account because then you should log into your account and go to https://www.dropbox.com/edu where you can verify that your account is a real educational account and receive extra space every time you refer a friend to DropBox.
- Download and install the DropBox program on any and all of your computers to have access to your DropBox files anywhere!
- Send other people links referring them to DropBox and if they join through those links, you and they will receive extra space. Everyone starts with 2GB free, but you can grow to around 16GB free from referrals without ever paying for the service.
Syncing happens automatically (large files will take time though) so you don't have to worry about anything.
