If you have been granted access to the new MedNet SSLVPN system, use the following instructions to set up your Mac to use sslvpn, or check out the official instructions linked to at the bottom of this page.

Cisco AnyConnect Usage

  1. Find the program (it will be installed under "Applications > Cisco > Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client"), and start it up.
  2. In the box next to "Connect to:" should be the text sslvpn.mednet.ucla.edu, if it is different, replace it with this address.
  3. Press the select button and the window should now ask for your username and password. Supply your MedNet credentials and click "Connect."
  4. The window should minimize once the connection is established and a little AnyConect icon in the top information bar should appear with a lock on it indicating that you have a VPN connection.
  5. At this point you'll be able to connect to our local resources (like the Monster servers) and it will be like your computer is running within MedNet.
  6. When you are done with your VPN session, click on the icon in the information bar and select "Disconnect" from the menu that appears.
