Framewise Integrated Real-time MRI Monitoring (FIRMM)

Make sure Advanced User mode is enabled - You will know it is if the MARS_SSH shortcut is visible on the start menu

FIRMM Instructions:

  1. Press ctrl-esc on console --> STOP FIRMM Session
  2. Register your participant
  3. Press ctrl-esc on console --> START FIRMM Session
  4. Close out of terminal and X11 on iMac
    • Go to "XQuartz" or "Terminal" menu at the top left of the screen, then scroll down and click "Quit"
  1. Double click "FIRMM.command" icon on desktop, this should open up terminal
  2. Type FIRMM into command line and press enter
  3. Terminal should start spitting out lines, X11 should open up and you should see a message on the terminal window that says "waiting for dicoms..."
  4. Click on the Start button on the X11 FIRMM application window, start your functional scan
  5. Volumes should start appearing after ~45sec delay
